Western Plant in April 1936

A rare interior shot of Jimmy Johnson's Western Manufacturing Plant. Wayne Neyens told me that the man supervising at left was engineer Eric Bjornander, Wayne's boss at the time. Wayne had worked there only two months when this photo was taken. The far windows border on North Avenue. The area between the windows contained the washrooms. The floor was comprised of wooden blocks with their ends facing up. Wayne remembered that well because Eric would make him sweep up during slow periods!
